Custom ML Model / API Integration

Summary Add the ability to connect a user-supplied model or API so that transcription and processing run on the user's own private tokens. Problem / Motivation Currently, all transcription and processing is handled through our default backend. Users who want greater control over cost, privacy, or model choice have no way to route this work through their own provider. Proposed Solution Allow users to configure a custom model endpoint and supply their own API key/token. All transcription and processing requests would then be sent through that connection rather than the default service.

Nuwa Pen for Document Editing

I was interested in reading the article comparing NuwaPen with Remarkable and the conclusion that remarkable was better for marking up documents and drawings. In a basic MVP, it would be possible to use the Nuwa app or other scanning app on a mobile phone to digitally scan a page of a paper document using the camera, (apps like Dropbox can do this well already if you prefer to integrate the feature rather than recreate the scanning function).  Once scanned it would be possible to import the scanned document as the “paperspace” for Nuwa app digital document.  If you can then orientate and align the paper version with the digital versions of the page, it would be possible to add the handwriting mark ups to the digital page. Second, once you can edit one page of text, it’s a short leap to handling and editing a multipage document. Finally, an advanced feature would be to OCR the document text and formatting / layout from the scan, then create “smart editing” by converting the handwriting crossing out and additions, into live edits of the digital text producing a final edited version of the digital document “automatically”. This has many challenges but would be an awesome future feature and is similar to previous posts requested by budding authors writing and editing transcripts. Good luck David

Nuwa Pen for fiction writers?

I was wondering how Nuwa Pen may be able to support writers who often need to go back to the original text and make corrections, add or delete entire sentences, etc. Will the Pen create a new document with only the most recent changes (in which can it will not be supportive), or will it integrate in one document the whole history of the changes made, like in a real manuscript? In this latter case, I can tell you the pen would be a real game-changer for writers, especially fiction writers...

Tag & Category System for Organized Notes & Subgroups

Can this digital pen support a category-based tagging system where main categories like @Spiritual, @Self/Family, @Career, @Social house sub-tags for better organization? Example: • @Self/Family → #shopping, #buylater, #workout, #stretchAM • @Social → #MeetUp [date] [auto-recurring if not checked] • @Career → #yelp, #yelptodo Also Auto Reminders default & auto-reminders+ for like birthdays etc or wedding from the to-do list cross sync with iCloud Reminders & Calendars, differentiate between [Event/Reminder] This would allow structured sorting within folders, creating a seamless way to track and organize notes. Also, would an Undo button be possible? & categories without the “@”. Widgets to display the Categories, dark mode, etc

Listen to Your Notes with Text-to-Speech 🎧

Hey Nuwapen Team, Taking notes with Nuwapen is already smooth and intuitive, but adding a text-to-speech feature would make it even better. Turning handwritten and typed notes into audio would make it easier to absorb information without always needing to read through everything. Why This Feature Would Be Awesome: Hands-free note review makes it possible to listen while commuting, exercising, or doing chores without looking at a screen. Hearing information improves retention and makes it easier to remember important details. Adjustable playback speed allows users to skim through content quickly or slow it down for better understanding. Accessibility improves by making notes more useful for people with reading difficulties or those who prefer audio. Notes become more dynamic, turning into a personal audiobook that fits into daily life naturally. Integrating this into Nuwapen would make note-taking more flexible and efficient. Adding AI-powered natural voices would create an even smoother experience. Would this be something you are considering? ADDED from Jan Sapper - Audio-recording feature that syncs my notes to the audio at the moment of writing. - That way I can review what the context of my note was, as i may not remember what I meant with a note.
